My Name Is Davies Ayuba Atanda, I recently graduated from Adebola Baptist Senior High School located In Surulere Lagos. Reside at Lagos Island, Apongbon of Offin Road, my stage name comes from my surname Davies (davidzy). Am a Practical Muslim.

Can you tell us about your journey into the music world, and how did you get to where you are today in your career?

It is big set up if anyone comes around and just say it is easy to make it in the music industry, because it was never easy to make in life. My journey has not been long because I am just getting close to my fourth year as an Artist. Actually Its all started in school, by singing other celebrities songs forming it to make my own side and I  do that so well that I move around my senior classes and sing and collect little change from them, not until A friend of mine Oriyomi Taiwo nicknamed sop, Ominikun, we call him that because, he is fat, and he was the one who trained me on how to write my own song by myself, so from there I started writting songs by myself. The Idea of going to studio was also brought by him and also attending shows was also his ldea. Before recording my first track Talented in the year 2014 in the studio I went through alot like having Hossal Pain, daily contribution of my school and food allowances, then in the late 2017 I was introduced to a street client artist manager, who started introducing to the big Goons of Island industry which really gave me a Huge matured adult audience, his name is Hafeez Odusoga (ejoboss).

What is your music genre? And what makes you different from other artiste?

My music genre is Afropop, Blues, and Fuji at times, and what really makes me different is how I pass my messages and how people comprehend and I do that through the sound I make, the lyrics are always tight, and I will just say the advanced level of the normal afropop sound.

For how long have you been on this journey?

I have been on this journey for just 12years both unprofessional and official.

What sparked your Interest in music?

What really spark my interest is that the joy it gives me when making it, so I don’t ever think I will stop.

What inspired your new song Unbotherd?

Actually what really inspired me was that,
am a very emotional being that thinks about everyone around  me, which means I care a lot, once I get to know you.
You know when you start doing things that others does and you are doing it better,  one way or the other, and it is killing their way through, then you start hearing bad rumors about you, they start looking for petty mistakes about you, me seeing and hearing all these things and not being able to reply them really gave me a Pierce in my heart. Music is another way of passing messages across, so all I had to do was to just reply them with this song #Unbotherd.

You were featured in so many songs, Aiye, The believe, Only me, Malo and many more, which is your best collaboration ever and why?

Its really hard for me to pick because if I don’t love it, I won’t do it no matter the amount of cash you are offering, but if I were to pick, I will pick Aiye by Younging ft davidzy because he really did a great job by not letting the song lack at any corner and a big shoutout to my wizard producer Ayas Lin doing an excellent job from the making of the beat to the mixing and mastering of the song. (Ayaslinpapasoun).

Do you perform in public? And where?

Yes. Mostly, all of my performances are in the public, but my biggest fright was when I had five performances in a night, which was the biggest carnival in island, it’s usually every first of the year. 2017/2018 was my first time and it really gave me a lot of fans and most especially my first biggest cash in a night.

What are your most amazing moments as an artiste?

My recording in the studio, seeing a standard studio to me then Was like seeing heaven, and why it really amazed me was that I did the job perfectly.

What’s your favourite piece of music? And why?

Drums and piano, These two things are the best when its come to making music for me , because its defines quality, It’s talks even when you are not saying anything in the song, Its sings when you are not even trying to make a sound, It’s drives your listeners , It’s passes information easy
and to me I will love to learn more about these two things.
